Question
What I'm trying to do is take house that was measured in the field then drawn according to the measurements then move and rotate this to 4 or more coordinate points that were located by angle and distance using a total station.
These points are nodes in the drawing and I want the house
to fit on these nodes with the least amount of error as possible. I hope this clarifies what I'm doing. Thanks for your help.

Answer
All right!  Now we're communicating.

I'm sure you know you can move a house from one of it's corners and then rotate it using the Reference option of the Rotate command to get the existing angle and then pick the point desired for the desired angle.  But did you know about the ALIGN command?  It combines the two operations into one.  Once calling the command you select the footprint block of the house, Select an endpoint, select the corresponding "node" for that corner, Select another endpoint and select the corresponding "node" for that corner.  The house will automatically move and rotate itself.  It's really quite a fun routine and so little known that people watch you and they say, "How did  you DO that?"

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
