Question
In AutoCAD LT 2008 I mark a object press delete and hit enter. the object is still there.
I have Windows XP

Sorry, I thought I had replied to this. I presume you are self-learning, as you dont use the normal tersms. I always HIGHLY suggest spme good book in your local language, so find one you like.

To erase in AutoCAD. many choices -- after selecting (or highlighting) an object -- assuming it is not on a locked layer.

1-- type ERASE
2--  MODIFY MENU >>> ERASE   (names of menus vary with the year of AutoCAD)
3--  click the ERASE button on  the modify toolbar.
4-- right-click, choose ERASE from the pop-up context menu.
and a few more

I PROMISE YOU -- if you are asking this question -- something learned on the first or second day of a class..
A-- you need a class and or a book
B-- it has not occured to you to look all over the screen and find the tools. I very much encourage you to explore them at once. AutoCAD without education can be like quicksand.
