AutoCAD/bcount command

Question
I have been away from AutoCAD for 5 years, I work in the materials handling business as a CAD Designer.  I am currently using AutoCAD 08 and getting comfortable with it.  I have a coworker in Ohio who is using AutoCAD 08 who cannot use bcount command.  The command line states the command does not exist.  I can use the command in CAD 08 on my computer in Florida.  I can not figure this one out. Please help.

Answer
Jill,

Your coworker probably doesn't have his/her 'Express Tools' installed or loaded. To check, fire up 'MENULOAD' command & see if 'EXPRESS' is loaded on the list. If not, toggle any of 'WORKSPACE' settings & see if it'll load it in one of the CUI configurations.
FYI, BCOUNT won't count 'dynamic blocks' in your drawing library (it only recognizes regular/old blocks). That means if you insert a dynamic block then use one of its dynamic options, BCOUNT can no longer count it, so be careful. Hope this helps...let me know!
