About Bill DeShawn
Expertise
I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience
I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn

AutoCAD - titleblock

Expert: Bill DeShawn - 6/21/2008

Question
QUESTION: I am confused on how I move my drawing around once I insert my titleblock to get everything to fit properly.

ANSWER: Josh.  I need a little (a lot) more explanation.  Are you doing this in the Model Tab or a layout?  Are you working with viewports in a layout?  By "moving the drawing" do you mean move the viewport?  Move the model in the viewport?  Is the viewport locked?  What version of AutoCAD?  Please be as specific as possible.

Keep the dialog going.

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: I have autocad 2006 and I am working in model space. I'm not working with viewports. I'm trying to move my drawing so that it fits inside the titleblock so it is able to be printed.

Answer
I am assuming that the contents of the drawing would fit in the title block if you could just move them so that they would fit.  I'm going to assume you know about the MOVE command, and that for some reason the objects in your drawing are unable to be selected for a move.  If this is the case, it could be that the layers that the objects are placed on are locked.  Could that be the case, or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Keep the dialog going.  That's how problems are solved.
