AutoCAD/linetype creation

Question
I am using AutoCAD 2007 LT and trying to create linetype like ---S---. The line pattern I use is: A,.5,-.2,["S",STANDARD,S=.1,R=0.0,X=-.1,Y=-.05],-.2 (exactly like for existing line ---HW---). But after I enter the linetype pattern computer says: "Invalid number or bad continuation". What does it mean or what is wrong with my actions?

Answer
In Full AutoCAD (that's what I use, I am not required to know the syntax for linetypes like you are trying to make because we have an EXPRESS TOOL called MKLTYPE to make linetypes.  However, I created a linetype using STANDARD as the text style at .2 for height.  MKLTYPE came up with the following code:

A,.105643,-.056123,.105643,-.026547,["S",Standard,y=-.047835,s=.1],-.104034

See if that works for you, and if not, let me know how you want it changed.

Keep the dialog going until we get it solved.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
