Question
QUESTION: I have different types of line - (fence line, tree line) that i want to show on my paper space. I want to keep ltscale to 1 in paper space. How shud i adjust the ltscale in model space so as to see a defined line like fence line, tree line  etc in model space also.

ANSWER: Ravi, my apologies for the delay. Determine what scale you have in that viewport (ie. 1"=30'). if the linetype scale of a line in your layout is '1', then change the 'linetype scale' of the other line in model space to '30' (since 1'=30'). Change respectively based on what scale you have in the viewport. Hope this helps, let me know!

QUESTION: Borge, Thanks very much for the reply, i changed the ltscale to corresponding scale in viewport, this time i saw a defined dash line in model space, but all the lines turned out to be a solid line in paper space.
I want the lines to be very defined in model space and paper space, at the sametime i want to keep the linetype scale to 1 in viewport. Can you please give me a solution.

Answer
Ravi, i guess i was a little unclear. there are 2 factors that can change your line type when using viewports. one is the command 'ltscale' & the other is the objects line type scale (normally defaulted to '1'). the objects line type scale can be modified by selecting an object (line or polyline), ctrl+1 (activate properties pane). Look under the General catergory & you'll find 'Linetype scale'. Change this to 30 as I mention earlier as my sample.
So to recap: go to modelspace, select the line, change its "linetype scale' to '30'. Go back to layout, both lines should now reflect as the same linetypes. Hope that helps this time, let me know!
