dim-arrows
Is there a way to create a dimension style that would look like the attache image?

It's always best to include the version of AutoCAD you are running.  In this case it would be good, too, if I knew what units settings you were using, it would help, too.  It also helps to know whether you are dimensioning mechanical objects, architectural drawings, or civil Engineering drawings.  And sometimes it even is helpful to mention the country you're working in or working for.

With that said, let's see if I can help you with what you gave me.  As a precautionary measure and because it's just a plain good idea, don't use the Standard Dimension style.  Instead create a new one.  Then modify it with the _.DIMSTYLE command.  Well, we're not going to get two styles in one this time, because they're both linear dimensions.  So, there will be two styles.  One on the ends and one for the middle.  Create a block for the dot, a block for the arrow, make each of them 1 unit in size.  The dot might require a stem.  It did for me.  A dimension style will use on arrow on the DIMBLK1, the other arrow on DIMBLK2.  You will need to experiment to get the arrow sizes right.

I did one for you in inch units.  Go to my web site and look for my email icon click on it and send me a message.  I'll send you the DWG file.  Be sure to tell me what version you are using.

Keep the dialog going until you get your answer.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
