AutoCAD/plot styles

Question
Hi,

I am enduring the headache of trying to reconfigure everything in my computer after a virus forced me to do a clean install of my operating system. So, among other things, I am trying to use my old plot styles, which I had backed up. But I can't seem to get it to show in the dropdown menu as an option. A bit of detective work revealed that ONLY .ctb plot styles are available, but I can't get any .stb plot styles to show. Any ideas? I have chosen it as the default plot style from the Tools> Options> Plot & Publish window. I have restarted my computer. I have crossed my fingers. Nothing. THANKS!!!

Answer
Hi Shaun, if i can recall, depending on the template you use, that determines the plot style your drawing is going to use (ctb or stb). In your case, the cmd you're looking for is 'convertpstyles'. This cmd should convert your dwg to the named plot style or vice versa. Also, ensure you have proper search path to your named plot style table under 'Options'. Hope this helps, let me know!
