Question
can i change an arc to line

Answer
You can't change an arc to a line, but you can change an arc into a polyline that is a series of straight-line polyline segments.  You can use the WMFOUT command to select the arc and assign a name to a new Windows Meta-file.  Then use the WMFIN command to import the new WMF file.  It will be imported as a block and probably will get the name WMF0.  The next time you import a WMF file into the drawing, it will be named WMF1 and the next WMF2, etc.  If you explode the block, you will see that it is merely a polyline like I described. After you explode it, you will need to scale it to be the same length as the original arc (at least from one end to the other).

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
