AutoCAD - Setting defaults

Question
I have recently started using AutoCAD Map 2008 (previous version used was 2005), and am just getting to grips with some of the changes.  However i have one thing that has left me fustrated and its probable something simple.
How can i change the default settings for units (i.e. angle precision) and make the change the default so that every time i open AutoCAD it remembers the new settings rather than reverting back to the default settings from installation, which is what it is doing now.
Any help will be greatly appreciated,

Regards,
Steve

Answer
Steve, my apologies for the delay...to answer your question, you simply need to create your own template - modify existing variable settings when you open autocad then save as template (*.dwt). Then make this template as your default thru 'Options' command & under 'Files' tab.
