AutoCAD/AEC WALLS

Question
HOW DO I CONSTRUCT AEC WALLS OR HOW DO I CHANGE THEM IS THERE A MENU?

Answer
Mark:  An AEC_WALL is an entity created by either Autodesk Architectural Desktop or by Autodesk AutoCAD Architecture.  These programs are more expensive AutoCAD "vertical" programs.  If you are using Vanilla AutoCAD, you will only be able to move or erase them, if you have the correct Object enabler installed, but not be able to shorten them, break them, clean them up, trim them, offset them, etc.  That requires Autodesk AutoCAD Architecture.  It also will require an extensive learning curve to switch from one drawing method to the other.  So, to answer your question, In plain vanilla AutoCAD, there is no menu, nor no function to deal with AEC_WALLs other than to show them or not (PROXYSHOW), or to notify you of their existence (PROXYNOTICE).  If the object enabler is present, which in your case your message suggest that it is (because you can see them, then you may be able to EXPLODE them, as I can with AEC_CONTOURS from Land Desktop users.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
