AnswerHi
1 -- dont even think of working without a good book next to you.
2 -- you omitted the most important part --- I am going to assume you are plotting from Paper Space, but maybe not. You should also have given the plotstyle you are using.
3-- the simple answer is that your hatch scale is much too great, or the lineweight assigned to the hatch is too great.
Many hatches which look open onscreen will plot black WHEN PLOTTED TO SCALE -- If your paper was as large as a building, the hatch would print right.
Use the hatch scale, color and lineweight which print correctly: how it looks onscreen is not the issue. You may have to experiment, particularly if you are trying to make interiors look right with hatch. This takes time to learn.
You may end up using very light grey at .05 or even .00 lineweight for some hatches that indicate shading.
Write back if I have mistaken the problem. If you don't know how to change hatch scale, assign lineweights and colors, study the book and use HELP.
