Question
How can i set up my five button mouse to go to the osnap settings with just one click.

Thanks

Answer
Hi James,

To modify your mouse, I'm pretty sure you'd have to go into your actual mouse settings and make the changes there.  Without knowing or having the exact same mouse, I don't think I'd be much help telling you what to do.

Good to see you're doing some customization.  I usually just hover my left hand over the keyboard and it's easy enough to hit the shift-middle wheel to make that happen.

I also have used a device called a Nostromo N-52 on several jobs where you can program each key up to 4 different ways and the way you do it is to actually select the key you want to program, then start typing in what you want that key to do.  Son basically, you'd select the #1 key and then hold shift and then middle mouse wheel and it will write that code to that key.

I picked mine up for about $25 on clearance at one of the big box electronic stores. They have a newer and better one that I've seen at Fries Electronics for $70.  If I go back to a job where I need it again, I'll probably upgrade to that.

Hope that helps,

Paul
