Question
Hi!
I'm having a problem, I'm using AutoCad 2009 and when I try to render my model the dimension lines (used through annotation) don't show up. All the text and the arrow heads show up fine, but none of the lines are visible. I checked lineweight, color, layer is not freeze. I even tried to change color and linewight but I reaized that's not the problem since they still don't show regardless of what color or lineweight i use, any ieas what might be the problem?
in advance, thank you very much for you time, Flo

Answer
Render has always done that and has never been fixed.
However, for printing purposes, you can simulate a render with the -SHADEMODE command.  Use the minus sign or else you will be redirected to the VSCURRENT command.  Then choose the Gourad option.  You will then be able to print dimensions and shaded models.

Let me know how it goes.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
