Question
bob hi, sorry for my english, i hope you ll understand!

i m trying to plot a project which contains dot lines(ACAD_ISO07W100) ,but when i increase the line width, the line appears on the paper with square dots! on my screen it is with circle dots, but when i plot this always square dots. i would appreciate your help

thanks george

Answer
I apologize.  I have been ill, and may not be able to answer the question completely. I do not have AutoCAD available today.

However, I DID look up the linetype-- and the image I found ___ http://www.calcad.com/mapguide/webstudio/images/lines/ACAD_ISO07W100.png  ____  is of line segments so short that they appear to be squares.
Thus, this seems to be a DASHED linetype, not a dotted one. Dots are round, dashes are rectangular (a square is a rectangle).

MAYBE you  do not realize that what you see onscreen is NOT the point, when the drawing is to be plotted. ONLY how it looks when plotted matters.  I cannot speak to why your monitor shows dots, when the standard for the linetype seems to be dashes.

I would simply choose another linetype (or learn how to make my own, it's not terribly difficult), if I wanted dots.

I hope this helps -- your English is fine, but you should have told me your experience level and your country.
