Question
What are your recommendations for learning Revit? I have worked some with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Architecture. I have been reading reviews of textbooks on Revit, but can't really tell which will be helpful as far as approach.
Where I am going to college, there are no classes or workshops on Revit.
Thanks

Answer
If you have a college email, you can get a free textbook as well as a student copy of Revit Architecture from the Autodesk Student Learning Center.  I've used the textbook from that site to teach several classes and it's a very good book and I love the format.

Biggest thing to remember is that Revit is NOT Autocad.  The faster you can learn that part, the better off you'll be.  The way you do things in Revit is completely different from Autocad but, it's much faster to learn and you're doing everything in 3D.

If you have a student email account, send me back the address and I'll try to send you an invite to the site so you can get on there the first time.
