AutoCAD/hidden text in plot

Question
When I go to plot the edge of my plot has text printed all around it but the text is not in the drawing.  How do I remove this hidden text?

Answer
Jeff:  One kind of text that doesn't display in the drawing but does display in the plot and seems to hug the edges of the drawing is a plot stamp.  However, this text is only supposed to appear at ONE edge - not all around the drawing.  Just in case, when you plot, make sure the Plot Stamp ON box is unchecked.  Due to your description of the text "all around", I'm not sure this is your problem.  So, check the plot stamp box, make sure it's unchecked and if it doesn't fix the problem, get back to me.  I will need to see the actual drawing this occurs on.

If this doesn't fix the problem, I will need to know the following:
Your plotter make and model
The version of AutoCAD you are using.

Let me know how it goes.  Keep the line of communication open until the problem is solved.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
