Question
QUESTION: Hi Paul, I have some problem in printing my AutoCAD drawings in A1 size with HP plotter. There is nothing wrong when printing with Xerox Laser printer. With HP plotter, when I select the paper size to A4/A3/A1 size, the plot scale changes to imperial:-1 inches = **** units, even the plot offsets are in inches.
How do I solve the problem ? Listed below are the software/hardware I am using :- AutoCAD 2005 , HP Designjet T1100.
Thank You

ANSWER: If you click on the down arrow next to the inches box, you should be able to switch everything to mm.  After you plot, it should remember this for the next time you use this plotter as well.

Give that a try.  If it doesn't work, let me know and we'll dig deeper.

You might also want to click the "apply to layout" button at the bottom of the screen.

QUESTION: Thanks Paul. I have try to do as per your advice but there are no down arrow next to the inches box. And also there are no "apply to layout" button at the bottom of the screen. Look like we have to dig deeper to find the answer.
Attached is an jpg image of the printing dialog box.

Answer
Hey Ronny,

Click on the Properties button next to the Printer/Plotter Name, then click on Modify Standard Paper Sizes.  There you should see the ISO sizes of paper and those are all in metric.  Select the ones you need and you should be good to go.  Later you can go in and delete the english units if you want through the same dialogue box.

Let me know if this works.
