AutoCAD/Printing issues...

Question
Hi,
when I try to print a paperspace template, I have 'A4' written in the top corner, and it shows up in the print preview. However, it doesn't appear on the paper, but it will if I move it downwards, yet it still prints the upper line of my border which is plotted higher than 'A4'
Any ideas?

Thanks.

Answer
Paul: In order to answer this question I need you to do a few things:
First, tell me what version of AutoCAD you are running.  Next, go to my website, find my email icon at the bottom of the page and send me the drawing.  I also need to know what printer (brand and model) you are using.  If it's a brand made in the UK, please send me a link to their drivers page.  I'll personally take a look at the problem to see if I can duplicate the problem here and attempt to solve it.

Also, tell me if you're printing to "Window", "Extents", or "Layout".  If you're printing to "Window?, please draw a rectangle on the DEFPOINTS layer that represents the window you're attempting to print.

Also, are you printing directly to the system printer, or are you using a PC3 file?  I'm wondering if somehow you may be getting forced to print on LETTER size (215.9 x 279.4) which is a little smaller than A4.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
