Question
My friend  has a soft copy of x-ray which is taken from one of diagnostic center.what they will do is they will compress that soft copy &they will send to a main server, now can i extract that soft copy from main server to auto cad(can i open it in auto cad)?is it possible?

Answer
By "soft copy" I assume you mean an electronic image you can see on your screen. This file can be brought into Autocad depending on the file format it is in. Autocad can only see file types of .jpg, .tif, or .bmp.  I commonly bring in photographs of machinery which I can trace over for what I need. If I create the photo it will already be in jpg format. If it's given to me I sometimes have to bring it up into photo program such as FastStone Image Viewer (Free!) so I can "saveas" out as a jpg file.

Then I can view the photo in Explorer with the Views, Thumbnails, turned on and just click and drag it onto my Autocad drawing. It's really very simple on my machine but I don't know how you have your system set up.

I hope this helps. Please write again if it needs clarification.
