AutoCAD/Auotcad 2004 LT

Question
Hello Paul! I am trying to modify some drawings I got off my step-dad's computer (He uses Autocad 2004 and I've got the LT version) but the program won't let me delete anything existing. I can delete something I draw, but when I select anything from the saved file, it says zero objects found. The files are not protected or 'read only', I've tried the 'wblock' command and even the 'explode' command to no avail! When I try the 'explode' command and select the entire drawing it only finds the text and says they can't be exploded. (Duh!) Can you suggest anything please?

Answer
Hey Rick,

That's an easy one.  You need to have your Step Father save as R2004LT.  There's enough of a difference in the drawing format that this has to happen.  He just needs to open each drawing and do a save as, then down at the bottom where it shows the format (2004, 2007, etc.) at the bottom are the different formats of LT.

Hope that helps,

Paul
