Question
HI, I AM USING AUTOCAD 2009 BEFORE I WAS USING AUTOCAD 2008. I HV SOME PROBLEM IN AUTOCAD 2009 FOR VIEWPORTS. IN AUTOCAD 2008 WHEN I DO RIGHT CLICK ON TOOL BAR WE CAN SEE LIST OF TOOLBARS BUT IN AUTOCAD 2009 WHEN I DO SAME THING SOME TOOLS MISSING LIKE VIEWPORTS ETC. CAN U GUIDE ME PLZ HOW I CAN GET IT. THX ALOT

Answer
Mohammad,
I also have ACAD 2008 but my 2009 is the LT version. Since I don't like, for now, the look of the 2009 screen and the dashboard I changed it to the traditional look so it's the same as the 2008.  I still had to add some of the toolbars that I had been using in 2008 and moved a few tools around.

To make this change, in the 2009, look at the lower right corner of the screen at the very bottom. You will see a tiny icon that looks like a gear with teeth. Click on it and it will switch the look back to the traditional one. When you want to change it to the newer look, just click this icon again.

There may be other ways to solve this problem but this is how I did it.

Good luck and Best Regards,
George Reid
