AutoCAD/Endpoint issue

Question
This problem just began for my AutoCAD LT 2002 program.  When I hit offset or line and specify the distance, the line shoots off diagonally to a random point out in space.  Could this be an x,y coordinates issue?  Thanks.

Answer
Hi Emilie,

I don't think this is a coordinate issue, although it sure would not hurt to turn on the UCS icon and take a look at that. I would try these things to identify the problem.

1) Is this just this drawing or is it in all your drawings including new ones.  If it is in all drawings then it is a system setting.  If it is just the one drawing it is something set in the drawing.

2) If it is in just the drawing, do other users get the same result as you in this drawing? If not what settings are different from yours?

Then I would check: Snap, Grid, try this with and without Osnaps, Polar Tracking.

Sorry I can't do more to help you with this.
