Question
I am having trouble plotting multiple copies to our plotter. I can print multiple copies to our printer but when I try to print more than one to our plotter I get an error LOAD FAILED. I can print multiple PDF's from Adobe and other user's of CAD in my office do not have this problem on the computers is there setting that can change to fix this? Thank you.

Answer
I am not having this problem, and I haven't ever had this problem as I recall.  However, some people do report having this problem, and their strategies to over come it can be found here:

Personally, I think the second one is the biggest issue.  Plotting in the background sounds like a good idea, but as I explained to another user only moments ago, it requires a lot of resources to get the plot to the printer.  If you are drawing in AutoCAD or have other processes running in the background, they will take priority over the plot.  Therefore in your plot dialog, make sure your Plot in background box is unchecked.

Try that and follow up if you are still experiencing problems and we'll try to get to the bottom of it.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
