QuestionQUESTION: Please guide me how to give dim of L shapped PLine
Ex:- Vertical 5Cm and Horizontal 3Cm (that is total 8cm long), I want to give dim of 8cm in one command or style.
ANSWER: Rajan --
You fail to give me the information I request about your abilities and profession, thus I cannot tell if you are professional with a good reason, or a student -- unfair!
You ask me how to do something that is normally not done, at least in the work I do -- and something I would teach my students to never do.
One would dimension the 2 segments when there is a right angle, to show where the bend goes. The pline in question would have the same appearance as 2 line segments, and one expects them to be dimensioned normally.
HOWEVER, you can:
A -- dimension the 2 segments, explode the dimensions, correct it visually by erasing and stretching, and change the horizontal dimension to "8 cm total"
B -- use a leader to indicate the length of the pline (much better and clearer to read)
As far as what you originally asked, it can probably be done with some form of customized routine, but I do not offer myself as someone who gets into that.

QUESTION: Already I know, what you said now, however I want to know, whether any direct command is there in acad to do such.
Ex:- 'L' shapped Reinforcement total 8cm long, I want mark DIM OD AC=8CM
AnswerThis is not something in my field, and I already answered the question, as best I could. I would have appreciated "thank you" and "please" in the 2nd communication.
If you want to mark that way -- I would make a block with an attribute for the dimension, use a leader which will prompt you whether you want a block or text). You will have to type in the length of the reinforcement when you insert the block -- or make a block for each standard size reinforcement.
Again, I do not know of any way to do exactly what you are asking.
I want mark DIM OD AC=8CM
This is NOT dimensioning -- it is annotation, by the way, even though the annotation indicates the size of an object. One uses blocks for annotation.
Ask someone in your own field if I have not helped you. I do not know every particular thing done in every field.
