AutoCAD/Plot to File - JPEG

Question
I am using AutoCAD 2002. I do interior design. Previously AutoCAD was working fine and I was able to select "plot to file jpeg" and select letter 8.5x11 for the paper size. Now that option isn't showing up. I'm only able to select pixel sized plot space and I can't figure out how to make it so I can select 8.5 x 11 letter size paper space. Please help!

Answer
"... was able to select "plot to file jpeg"

Hi, I would say that either you have forgotten, or were not aware that someone set this up as a listed plotter in your AutoCAD. This is not a normally available selection.

I would GUESS that within the plotter dialog, if you know how, you could find the property that changed, and change it back. I cant really advise you from here, as something else may have changed, don't know your expertise, etc.

BUT -- for at many years, pdf has been a much better way to create printed and transmittable plots than a jpeg. I personally would find it VERY strange to recieve a jpeg from you. (if you have some reason, sorry, I do not know it)

Why not find a free pdf writer, download it, and use it as your plotting device. I like  __ CUTE PDF __ just search for it and download it for free, then add it to your AutoCAD plotters.

If you are not aware of how to install a plot device, etc -- try HELP, free online tutorials, or that good AutoCAD book you ought to have next to the computer.

If that all fails, write back --- but you MUST tell me your competence level in handling installations, etc, so I know what to tell you.
