AutoCAD/acad2000i file extension goof up

Question
Hi Bill,

I attempted to load simpson strong tie menu to acad and went
thru the steps they advised. In doing so, i somehow got acad
to not recognize the "mnc" file extensions, so now i've lost
acads ability to recognize many default command sets. Acad
now opens with a rapid cascade of text files saying it
doesn't recognize varoius defaults. when the file finally
opens, I see my drawing, but can't use command "alias". I
can initiate a command if I enter the full command name; ie:
"zoom".  I tried to uninstall acad but windows XP doesn't
recognize it.  Can you help me return things to normal?
Thanks

Answer
Kevin:
I will try.  To uninstall AutoCAD you need to go to the Control Panel, find ADD/Remove Programs and from there, find AutoCAD 2000i, select Chang/Remove and the rest should be pretty simple Have you done that?

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
