Can you please define MTEXT and DTEXT in laymans terms

Mickie,
dtext (dynamic text) = single line text. I use it in single letter/word, callouts, titles, title blocks, street names, etc.

mtext (multiline text) = paragraphs/large notes w/ formatting features (i.e. MS Word). People sometimes claim mtext has higher memory footprint rendering regeneration issues.
