Question
QUESTION: I need to learn autocad for interior design (To draw the layouts, elevations, etc,.). What the step should i take first? Can you please give me some ideas?

1. I am using Autocad 2010 .
2. I am doing my own computer service business. I would like to achieve in the filed of interior design.
3. My skill level is zero in autocad.

ANSWER: Prakash, learning is LOCAL -- You need to find out the standards in your area, and find the training to get the skills necessary to do well. Why would I know how they do it in India, just because I know how they do it here?

Your question is really not well thought out, because you do not indicate that you have checked other sources, particularly local, on your own, and you ask very very general questions. I also have to make assumptions, which I might get wrong, in trying to help.

I CAN say this:
1-- I can only draw what I know, thus I would learn interior design, as necessary. If you love interior design, even better.  It is better to draw what you enjoy.  Maybe you know it, I cannot tell from your question, which is not really clear.
2-- If you have a computer service business, it would make sense to concentrate on fields you already understand, for now, as your early work in a new field is not valuable.
3-- If you understand DRAFTING, which AutoCAD does via computer (you do not say), you can learn AutoCAD from a good book (there are many)or a good local class. It takes a lot of practice to get good.

I am hard on you because both Interior Design and a drafting service are about clear communication and precise ideas. If your question is not clear and precise, neither will your work be, I am afraid. (but I know you may not use English as your main language).

ASK LOCAL PEOPLE AND LOOK ON LOCAL WEBSITES, as well as world websites -- they can help you. In fact, if you had investigated cleverly first, you might have asked me a clear question, and I would feel good about helping you.  It is important to do your part first, if you desire respect in these businesses.

Good luck --- remember, this are just my opinions I give for free, do not judge them.

QUESTION: Thanks for reply Mr. Bob. What you said is right. English is not my main language. I am trying to improve it also. I could have asked local people for suggestion. Here i don't know anyone in the filed of autocad interior design. That's why i asked you. I am searching for interior design people for my support. Can you please suggest, which book may i study for Autocad for interior design? Can you please give me some website address to check?

Thanks in advance.

Answer
Sorry, this is where I tell you that your OWN research is how you learn best.

You have GOOGLE, etc to try various ways to search for books

--- I do not recommend specific books unless I know the person. One should choose the book by how it strikes you as being what YOU need.  If I pick it, I might pick too high or too low.

To be successful at consulting, you must learn to be very very clever in finding things online, and not wait for me.

Good luck
