Question
QUESTION: Hello sir,
Last time I have asked u about combining multiple layouts in Autocad to single pdf.
Now I have tried these options through Pdf995, it is possible to create Multiple layouts of dwg file into single pdf.
But this is not reliable.
I have attached image here, this shows two options i.e.combine pdf995 print jobs & combine with previous pdf995 print job
I am using first option because I have three layouts which i want in single pdf file for one drawing.another dwg also have three layouts & i want single pdf for these layouts. both pdf,s should be separate. So I am not using second option from that window.
But problem is if i am using first option from window only yet it merges second pdf with first one whether my second option is off..
Please help
Jyotsna
ANSWER: Hi Jyotsna,
I think what you are going to have to do is to make the first .pdf with the multiple drawings, then move that .pdf to another folder. Next you'll create your second .pdf with the next set of drawings.
Are you using a newer version of Autocad? Have you tried the Publish command with dwg to pdf set as your plotter? That might make things easier but, you would probably still have to do it in a couple of different sessions so they don't combing into one big .pdf.
I hope that helps,
Paul

QUESTION: Hello sir,
I have used dwg to pdf plotter, but it gives separate pdf for each layout.I have three layouts.
where when i have used pdf995 as plotter, it gives 3 layouts into single pdf. But this is not reliable, sometimes it gives pdf for only one layout, somtimes for four and sometimes for three layouts.
that's the problem, how i can make it reliable.
Thanks,
Jyotsna
ANSWER: Jyotsna,
Look into the publish command and do some research on that. You can select multiple file or single file through there.
In short, click the publish command, then you'll see publish options, click that, then you'll see single-sheet file or multi-sheet file depending on which you are currently set up as. Change to the one you want to use.
Then select the files you want to publish and you should be fine.
Hope that helps,
Paul

AnswerJyotsna,
The simple solution would be upgrading to Autocad 2010. I haven't used any of the pdf creation programs for several years so I can't be of any more help.
Dwg to PDF is something that came out in 2010 and works great.
Good luck,
Paul
