AutoCAD/Close Button

Question
My close button doesn't work. I don't know if I types something into the command line. I have 2008. I can save the drawing but cannot close - someone have a solution for me?

Answer
Basic ways to close a drawing include --all of these are in HELP

the button in the standard toolbar -- yours is not working, due, probably to customization or some other program

File >> Close -- from the file menu, as on pretty much any Windows program

the command to close is QUIT -- again, you could have saved the time to wait for me by checking HELP (not criticizing, informing)

You could easily make a new button for closing drawings, but it would take too long to explain here.

If QUIT does not work, something is really messed up. You need to get the 2008 disc, and, at the prompt, do a repair installation. Usually a complete new install is not needed.

PS -- I read you as wanting to close AutoCAD, not as wanting to leave it open and close only one drawing.
Write back more clearly if I am mistaken.
