Question
QUESTION: I have specifice linetypes set up in my drawing, yet for some reason, in the middle of working on the drawing, the appearance of my linetypes change. In the linetype manager dialogue box, the description shows correctly, but the appearance does not. How do I fix this?

ANSWER: Sharon:
How are the appearances different?  Are components of the linetype different in size?, or are they completely different in appeaance?

QUESTION: For instance, I have an arrowhead in between dashes for the psan linetype, but it comes in as dashed lines.
I have connected arcs for a tree line - but it comes in as dashed lines also.
What I did was go back and re-load the linetypes. Some of them came back in as they were supposed to, but not all.

Answer
Sharon:  When all else fails:
1.  Rename the linetype in your drawing
2.  Open another drawing containing the linetype and displaying it correctly.
3.  Copy one of the desired lines to the clipboard
4.  Paste the contents of the clipboard into your drawing.

Let me know how it goes.  Sometimes "copy and paste" operations get compromised in drawings especially when companies are working with consultants that use different versions of AutoCAD.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
