AutoCAD/Autocad LT2009 - Vanishing blocks

Question
This seems to be a recent problem, with blocks that have been created in-house.  When trying to explode some blocks, that themselves may have various blocks within them, the whole block just disappears! I have checked all layering to ensure that nothing is turned off, and tried regenerating the drawing but to no avail - Any other ideas please?

Answer
David:
If you explode a block, the entities will generally return to the layers they were originally created on. In this case, turning all of your layers on and regenerating your drawing might cause the entities to show up. Try Zoom Extents after exploding.

If the block contained a 3D solid and when you explode it, change the view type to realistic and verify.

If this doesn't resolve the issue, please send me an email and  attach the drawing file.  For my email address, please go to my website:

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
