Question
hi
I'm a interior designer student at university and for my current project i need to show the graphics used on my CAD drawing elevations

i need to import scanned jpeg images in autocad what is the best way to import scanned jpeg images in autocad architecture

Answer
Hi--

First the best answer I can give from the info you provide --
Go to HELP in AutoCAD Architecture, and type in the word Image, then read up on how to insert images. (It takes practice to get right)
And keep in mind that an inserted image is like an external reference, so if you move the file, the path is lost.
Sometimes it works to copy/paste images, but that can give you file size problems.

Second -- and more important.
I teach students to look things up for themselves, and NEVER ask for help until they have tried to do so. This is for their own good -- it's usually quicker and better to look it up yourself.
In my own experience, I would downgrade you strongly for not giving me the AutoCAD Architecture release number you are using (the interface varies), your proficiency level, your country, etc etc.

When I ask people for assistance, I try to remember to have done ALL of my part in helping myself, and to show them I value their time by providing all the information right away, not making them ask me questions. This is VITALLY important when you go to get an internship or a job. Professionals have no time for those who are not thorough and do not think things through clearly.

You can also use a search engine, and find tutorials online on the subject of inserting (not importing) images into AutoCAD.

Good luck -- and I promise you the above is very important advice.

I am good at helping Architects and Interior Designers who are intimidated by Autocad, ADT, etc. to feel comfortable, get things done. If you are in another field, I will do what I can for you. PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS TO QUESTIONER-- MOST DON'T FOLLOW THEM, AND IT MAKES IT VERY HARD TO ANSWER WELL-- THANKS
