Question
I create item balloons in drawings using multileaders with blocks being circles.  How do you adjust the block (balloon) and text size?  Can i set this before creating multileaders?
Thanks, Kevin

Answer

MLEADER SCALE
Kevin
Start the MLEADERSTYLE command.  If you haven't created an mleader style yet, click on NEW.  If you have select the one you created and select modify.  See my image.  Some blocks (tags or bubbles) are supplied with AutoCAD.  My image shows a block that I created myself.  The balloon block and arrowhead will change size together with the adjustment of the "Scale" when "Specify Scale" is selected.  It will be automatically adjusted according to your annotative text and dimension settings if you choose "Scale Multileaders to Layout." So, if your text, block, or arrowhead aren't working together very well, you'll have to make your changes to the text style or the blocks themselves until you are happy with how well the sizes of each appear together in the same MLEADER.  There are no system variables in place to override mleader features like there are for features of dimensions and regular leaders.  An MLEADER style works separately from a leader as defined in a dimension style.  I hope I have explained this clearly.  Keep me posted on your progress.
Note:  The image I supplied was significantly reduced in size by AllExperts.  I think, however, you will be able to understand its meaning regardless.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
