QuestionHi, i'm using cad 2007 for interior design drawings. when i opened a file i saw the draft work is got copied 3-4 times over other. e.g i created a plan.. now what drawing has is plan 4 times repeated over one another...so complete drawing is mixed with lines... manually i somehow re arranged but again when file was opened it was same...pls help if its some virus or error
AnswerYou need to find someone local to watch you work and tell you what you are doing wrong.
If there is no "special added program" that YOU or someone else has put on the computer, and if you have a legitimate copy of AutoCAD (not a local cheat copy made by a fool), what you describe is NOT possible, except by some error of yours. AutoCAD does not get viruses, in my experience.
And you need some good instruction -- you say you manually re-arranged it to fix it, but that is not how --- you needed to erase all the duplication. In addition, one wonders if the view is a little off of plan view, so you are seeing things at an angle
And you do not give me enough information to help more -- I must assume that the extra lines were offset from the orginals, or you would not see them in plan view. The command OVERKILL erases duplicates that are on top of the original lines.
It is treacherous to try to use AutoCAD without local instruction, or, at the lease, a good book.
