AutoCAD/rubber band line

Question
Hi Bob:

I cannot see the rubber band line when drawing lines and polylines before specifying next point in AutoCad. Is there a way to fix this? Please reply asap.

Answer
Hi -- not sure of your work, but, perhaps, you are using AutoCAD in an antique way
-- or maybe your profession is different than mine.  (have not heard "rubber banding" in maybe 8 years.)

I am travelling - no AutoCAD, but

1-- there is a setting in OPTIONS  to turn on the tracking line, depending on the release.
this is the direct answer to your question. Your setting must have changed.

2-- I would NEVER EVER work without OTRACK turned on at the bottom of the screen -- again, you fail to tell me what release, and features change.

3-- If your work calls on you to specific points, and you have a recent release, I suggest you try Dynamic Input and see if you like it (takes getting used to). It shows you a box onscreen to type the information

I am good at helping Architects and Interior Designers who are intimidated by Autocad, ADT, etc. to feel comfortable, get things done. If you are in another field, I will do what I can for you. PLEASE READ AND FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS TO QUESTIONER-- MOST DON'T FOLLOW THEM, AND IT MAKES IT VERY HARD TO ANSWER WELL-- THANKS
