Question
Can I print DWG file on A0 format paper with A3 printer (on several pieces of paper)?

Answer
Yes, you can print a big plot on multiple small sheets of paper.  I would divide the sheets up in equal parts of the scaled sheet of paper and draw each part in the defpoints layer so that it wouldn't show up on the plot.  Each would be rectangular in shape like a piece of paper with the same proportions as the paper itself.  To do it right, you would need to allow for a slight border of approx. 10-14 millimeters or approx 1/2 inch.  That way, you overlap the borders to their margins and you can fold the paper on the margins and tape them together to get the big picture.  It will take some experimentation on your part to perfect the idea, but I think if you consdider what I'm telling you, you will be heading in the right direction.  Pick a good cellophane tape that doesn't shine too much to connect the sheets.  You decide whether the tape should be in back or in front.

Have fun!

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
