AutoCAD/Auto CAD 2006 Toolbar

Question
Is there a way to drag just "button" or "icon" from a tool bar?  I just want one or two from several toolbars, but don't want the entire toolbar taking up space.  In 2002 I could just drag it....can't seem to do it in 2006.

Answer
Marsha,

I'd recommend creating your own instead of modifying the existing std toolbar, you'll thank me later. Here's 1 of 4 part article on customizing your own toolbar:

http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=2382465&linkID=247517...

However, if you still insist on removing icons on a toolbar:
1. simply right click on any toolbar, select 'Customize'
2. drag out the icons you don't need
3. click 'Close'

Hope this helps, let me know!
