Question
Some of my lines that are angled are very jagged when they should be a nice smooth line.  This is also the case when the drawing is turned into a picture file as well, what can i do to fix this?

Answer
One thing you could try is the VIEWRES command.  I think default setting is 200, but if you increase that number to, say, 2000, It could help.  Give that a try and let me know how it goes.  Remember that only orthographic lines 0º, 90º, 180º, & 270º are the only lines that can ever be perfect.  But resolution adjustments can improve the appearance of AutoCAD graphics.  You may end up just settling for a setting that you can live with, because there is no perfection in angled lines on screen.  They are perfect mathematically and can plot much better than they appear on screen.  The same goes for image files.  They are bitmapped in a similar fashion as a BMP file that you create in Windows Paint.  The higher the resolution, the larger the file.  The lower resolution the the more jagged the angled lines.

Expertise

I can address all 2-D questions and some 3-D questions. I do programming in AutoLISP if it doesn`t involve solid modeling. I can also address menu customization issues and can help you find answers to questions I can`t answer by taking your question directly to Autodesk via their newsgroups.

Experience

I used to do electronic and mechanical design for a flat panel monitor manufacturer, and now I do architectural drafting for an architect. I did and do AutoLISP and menu customization and take pride in making my lisp routines to do the work exactly the way the client likes them done.

Publications
I had a routine published in CADENCE magazine (no longer in publication and taken over by CADALYST). Some of my routines are published on my website at http://my.sterling.net/~bdeshawn
