AutoCAD/AutoCAD 2006 Toolbar

Question
Is there a way to drag just "button" or "icon" from a tool bar?  I just want one or two from several toolbars, but don't want the entire toolbar taking up space.  In 2002 I could just drag it....can't seem to do it in 2006.

Answer
Hi
Well, you caught me on a subject I have not gone much into -- the new customization. I believe there is a good tutorial on altering the "cui" -- customization comes under that.

I believe your question is "how do I make a toolbar using buttons from several others?"  When you research the changes, then the  drag/cant drag question will come up.

If you right-click a toolbar, and choose CUSTOMIZE at the bottom of the list, you will see the new interface. At the bottom left is a link to the New Features Workshop.  Mostly, customization is better, but not everyone is happy.

Or try the Autodesk ACAD Customization Group for more-----

I also want to point out that you may want certain commands in Tool Palettes, rather than in Toollbars now. I stopped making toolbars with 2004, so I am rusty. (or lazy -- LOL)

Good luck!!!
