Is there a free reference books out there on the defenitions of commands?

Well I am one of the ones who thinks reading/memorizing long lists of commands one may never use is.........? So many disciplines use AutoCAD, and do things with it I would never do.

But in your spot, I would have put <autocad commands> ( or list of autocad commands) into Google. I just tried that -- lots of leads.

There are certainly a lot of books, some like the FOR DUMMIES serries, cheap.  HELP pretty much can be used to read and check all commands.

OF course, you did not tell me which release, but one reason I dont teach all the commands is that the newer releases lead you to 90% of what you want via their right click menus.  I teach practical use for designers, not theory for people trying to master all aspects, so this is the best I can tell you.
