Expert: Bob - 11/12/2004

Question
I am having a delay in AutoCad 2004 ADT when I save and switch between drawings that is prohibiting me from working as quickly as I should be.  The delay is anywhere between 5-10 seconds during which time I am unable to use any commands it's almost like my computer freezes, that may not sound like a lot but when I'm saving like every 5 min. and sometimes switching between drawings constantly it is very time consuming.  This problem has affected me at work on a different computer and a different seat as well.  The IT team here seems to have tried everything do you have any thoughts or suggestions.  I seem to be the only person here in this office that has encountered this problem.

HI --OPTIONS>> OPEN AND SAVE>>> INCREMENTAL SAVE % -- YOURS IS SET HIGHER THAN THE OTHER PEOPLES, I BET. 50% IS PLENTY, AND IF YOU SAVE EVERY 5 MIN, 20% IS PLENTY. ALSO FREEZE ANY LAYERS YOU DONT NEED AT THE TIME.
AND>> SORRY, BUT BAD WALL CLEANUPS TAKE LONGER TO SAVE AND REGEN.
