Question
Hi,
I am new to CAD am working thro tutorials and hit this problem.
I made a simple 2D shape and now want to extrude this into a 3D model. The instruction is:
Select the Extrude icon from the Part Modelling Toolbar and in the Extrusion pop up window enter a distance etc.
Trouble I have is the 'pop up window' with all the setting choices does not appear which ever way I try it.
The help info indicates this window should appear!
Can you please advise!

Many Thanks
John

Answer
John,

Make sure your profile is fully constrained first. All entities should be dimensioned & define entities that are parallel, perp, equal, etc. to each other. Then you'll be able to extrude.
Here are the typical steps: Profile the object lines, Constrain (dimension), & Extrude/manipulate object.

Hope this helps, let me know!

regards-
JB
