AutoCAD/Block creation question

Question
My company has four (4) old elevation symbol blocks that asks for info on number and sheet upon insertion - the four (4) blocks each have directional arrows corresponding to north, south, east, west directions. I would like to use only one block that allows for the directional arrow to be rotated as necessary.

My knowledge of block creation is very simple. I have the info bubble created with the attributes, how do I set/create atributes for the directional arrow so that a dailaogue box of some sort can pop up at time of insertion and allow for the arrow to be rotated?

I use AutoCAD 2002

Answer
Hi - to the best of my knowledge, you cannot make an attribute of anything but text.  I have never heard that suggested, but I do not know everything. If the four blocks are named in a fairly obvious way, you should be able to insert the correct one each time.
Sorry I have no magic suggestion.
Potboiler:  Perhaps you ought to be using Architectural Desktop, which, especially in  the coming 2005 version, makes annotation, scedules, and details  much more automated.
