Question
Well something happened to my autocad fonts. I can no longer print solid fonts, they are always outlined not filled. Nothing else has been affected. On the screen my fonts are filled in, but when I go to print preview or to print my document all the fonts that are not just a skinny line only display the outline of the letters etc. I tried to fix this problem myself, but have yet to be successful.

Any sudgestions or help would be wonderful.

I am using Auto CAD 2002 LT

You are trying to plot a TrueTypeŽ font in a layout, but the font is not filled when plotted. None of the following actions resolves the problem:

Set the FILL command to on.
Set the FILLMODE system variable to 1.
Set the TEXTFILL system variable to 1.
In the Plot dialog box, clear Hide Objects.
Turn off the Hideplot property of the viewport.

Solution


This problem can occur if the layout is corrupted. You can determine if the layout is corrupted as follows:

Try plotting from model space.
Try creating a new layout to see if it plots correctly.

I know this to be true.  I had a corrupted file that wouldn't even diplay my SHX fonts.  It kept substituting the font will the alternate font.
