AutoCAD - NOT IN CURRENT SPACE

Expert: <font color=#6b238e>J. </font><font color=#ff7f00>B. </font><font color=#0000ff>Borge</font> - 6/20/2007

Question
HI
I have frequently faced the problem of "Not in current space" in some autocad files/. Can you please tell what is it about and how can I erase the object that aren't in current space. How are they created anyway?
Thanks
Vahab

Answer
Check if you have any frozen/locked layer while erasing. Also, using templates may leave entities in the Layout (Paper Space) tab. Delete the existing layout tabs & start fresh. Additionally, unreferenced or residual blocks must also be purged out. Hope this helps.
