Hello I am a student from Baker College in MI. I was wondering if maybe I can ask you a couple questions. I was wondering in your opinion what is the importance of technology in the professional design world as in Autocad or 20-20? Bascially what is your overall opinion of technology and design together?

Well, the answer would be an entire book. I have a feeling you have reasons to ask -- telling the story gets a better reply, but here goes my best, with no context info from you.

All I know is that new tools keep coming along, and we have to grasp them, make them give us better/faster results. Assuming you mean architecture and interiors, my part of the design world, AutoCAD is mentioned in 2/3 of the job ads, so please draw the obvious conclusion.

I have no idea what 20-20 is.--OK I looked it up -- It is for "interior designers" who are fancy salespeople in a kitchen store, from what I see.  Sounds fine for them, not me.
