AutoCAD/Creating a hatch boundary

Question
I have been trying to create a new boundary around an existing hatch, but haven't been able to figure out how to do it. I know it can be done because I did it before but I can't remember the command. So, I have a existing hatch with no boundary; can I make autocad create a border to this existing hatch? I am using 2004 Civil. I have tried the region command, boundary, and several other ways, can't figure out how to make it work. Can you help?

Answer
Tracy,

i don't think this is possible thru use of current available commands. & if there is, the new boundary won't be associative in relation to the existing hatch. however, this might be possible thru series of vba programs. there's a lisp routine  called HATCHB.LSP that might be of help. give this a try & see if it'll work for you. just let me know if you cant find it. good luck!
