A recent development in Acad is that I cannot delete anything. If I draw a line it s there for good unless I hit Ctrl/Z and go back. I can move it stretch it and all. Just can t delete it. Any ideas or do I need to reinstall the program?

I would do a repair install through Control Panel.

BUT: you did not say what release of Acad you are on,  whether you have add-on software running, nor how you are trying to delete the line--the last  is a major block to being sure I can reply clearly.

If you are using the delete key -- does right-click/ERASE work? Does ERASE from the Modify toolbar work?  Does typing ERASE work?  Maybe the delete key is bad, or has been inadvertently changed due to other software.

AutoCAD does not go bad: we mess something up.

By the way, UNDO is done most quickly with an extra mouse button.
